Branded merchandise

Most branded items are thrown away within weeks. The ones that survive were chosen because somebody would have bought them anyway: a good shirt, a useful notebook, a bag that gets used every day. Choosing well is most of the work.

Campaigns, staff uniform and corporate gifting programmes, conferences, and any organisation that wants its brand carried rather than thrown away.

How we work through branded merchandise

Choose what people keep

A cheap item with a logo on it advertises the logo for a week. A well-made item is carried, worn or used for years, which means the brand stays visible for free. We select products against usefulness, durability and cost per item rather than against a catalogue's cheapest page.

  • Items that suit the audience, not just the budget
  • Durability checked against how the item will be used
  • Cost compared per item kept in use, not per unit printed

The decoration method changes the artwork

Embroidery cannot reproduce fine lines or gradients; screen printing charges by colour; transfers handle detail but behave differently after washing. The logo is prepared specifically for the method and product, so a small detail does not turn into a mess on a hundred shirts.

  • Artwork redrawn or simplified for the chosen method
  • Placement and size set for each product type
  • A sample approved before the full production run

Quantities, sizes and timing

Merchandise is usually late for one reason: sizes and quantities are decided after the order is placed. We agree the size curve and quantity before production starts, and plan the schedule around the run times involved so items arrive before the campaign rather than during it.

  • Size and quantity schedule agreed in advance
  • Run times built into the campaign timeline
  • Distribution plan so items reach the right people

What you receive

  • Product selection with cost per item
  • Decoration method and artwork prepared for each product
  • Size and quantity schedule
  • Sample approval before the production run
  • Production, quality check and delivery
  • Guidance for distributing items to the intended audience

Questions we are often asked

  • Can our existing logo be embroidered?

Often, with adjustment. Embroidery needs thicker strokes and simplified detail than print, so the mark is usually redrawn for the needle without changing how the brand looks. We show you the adjusted version before anything is produced.

  • What is the minimum order quantity?

It varies by product and decoration method, and it is one of the main things that decides cost per item. Where a large minimum would leave you with boxes of unused stock, we would rather recommend a smaller, better item than a bulk order you regret.

  • How do we get the sizes right?

Sizes are collected before ordering, with a size guide circulated in advance and a decision made about whether to order a slightly larger distribution. Guessing a size curve is what leaves an organisation with thirty medium shirts and nobody who fits them.
